Ponder These SEO Realities...

Researchers estimate that there are approximately 6.5 billion web queries daily. Think about that for a moment.

So, what is it going to take to get your product, service or company name found? It requires some strategy and implementation! For you to rank HIGH in search engine results you have to work … which means use terms specifically related to your products/services (and the problems they solve). SEO tactics are paramount. Looking at the # of daily web queries number above, ponder how you might get noticed!

Reminders About SEO's Potential

1. SEO Ranking Matters A Lot

Although search ranking is considered a measurement of success, it’s important to look beyond whether a website holds the first or second position on the search engine results page (SERP) that you dream about. Today it’s pretty common for two users to get completely different SERPs based on what they have previously searched for, and the context in which they're searching. And, although rank can be a measure of success, it should not be the only one to monitor. Remember that a good SEO strategy is about attracting people to your site; if your web traffic is improving, you’re succeeding.

2. Use SEO For All Online Outreach

Search engines consider multiple Internet sources including social media platforms and online press releases. Your optimization should apply to all of your online tools… videos, image alt tags, Twitter updates, etc.

3. Add More Meat to Your Content Topic

Aim for and focus on a niche vertical that’s specific to your content, but don’t leave out multiple broader topics in doing so. A larger content reach presents your site’s broader appeal, which again, results in more traffic to your site. Remember that even if you’re in a ‘niche industry’, there are parallel connection topics that magnetize additional qualified leads.

4. ‘Volume’ Search Keywords Define Better

We know that chunky and long-tail keywords yield greater qualified traffic than short-tail keywords. Example: “almond milk contains as much protein as cow’s milk with fewer calories and fat,” pulls more qualified traffic than just saying “almond milk.” Extra descriptive words: vitamins and minerals, plant milk, non-dairy also help.

5. Search Engines Search Text

Although the text on the page is important, there are many other on-page considerations that influence your search engine page rankings results. These include linked images, coupons, website urls, or docs with a unique url.

Getting found on the Internet is tricky and that is why it is really important that your webpage targets and motivates those out there who enjoy or need what you offer. Sure, SEO can be intimidating, even for people who have experience on how to use it, but why have a website if you don’t ‘nurture’ it properly?
